A Saudi Arabian club, whose identity has not yet been revealed, is in advanced talks to sign Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivorian international has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium for some time, and it now appears that a deal is close to being struck. According to a tweet from Top journalist who covers Arsenal Eduardo Hagn
The Saudi club is reportedly willing to pay Arsenal a fee of around £20 million for Pepe, who has struggled to live up to expectations since joining the Gunners from Lille in 2019. The 27-year-old has scored just 16 goals in 79 appearances for Arsenal, and he was left out of the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
Pepe is said to be keen on the move to Saudi Arabia, where he would be able to earn a much higher salary than he is currently on at Arsenal. The Saudi club is also expected to offer Pepe a lucrative signing-on bonus.
The deal is still not finalized, but it is believed that the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement. If the move is completed, it would be a significant development in the transfer market.
