Club Looking to Appoint Permanent Head Coach Before Facing ASEC Mimosas in CAF Champions League
Simba SC have officially opened talks with Tunisian gaffer Radhi Jaïdi (48) to take over as the club’s new head coach. The 48-year-old Tunisian has previously managed Southampton, Hartford Athletic, Cercle Brugge, and ES Tunis.
The move comes after Simba parted ways with former coach Pablo Franco Martin. The club is also considering Sven Vandenbroeck as a potential replacement, but Jaïdi is believed to be the front-runner for the job.
Simba are keen to appoint a permanent head coach before their CAF Champions League campaign begins in February. The club will face Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas in the group stage of the competition.
Jaïdi is a seasoned manager with experience in both Europe and Africa. He is also familiar with the CAF Champions League, having led ES Tunis to the semi-finals of the competition in 2020.
The appointment of Jaïdi would be a major coup for Simba. The club is hoping that the Tunisian can lead them to success in both the domestic league and the CAF Champions League.
