There’s been a change of venue for Akwa United’s remaining home matches in the 2023/24 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The club will now play at their usual home ground, the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, after previously using the Eket Stadium.

This move comes after Akwa United spent several games playing away from the Godswill Akpabio Stadium due to the venue’s busy schedule hosting international matches. However, with the international calendar potentially freeing up, the Promise Keepers can return to their familiar surroundings.

The return to Uyo could be a welcome change for Akwa United, who currently find themselves in the bottom four of the NPFL standings. Playing in front of their home fans at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium could provide them with a much-needed boost as they look to climb the table in the remaining fixtures of the season.
