Al Hilal are closing in on the signing of Aleksandar Mitrovic from Fulham, with a deal now imminent. The Saudi Arabian club have submitted a formal bid for the Serbian striker, and are awaiting final approval from Fulham.
Mitrovic agreed terms with Al Hilal in July, and is eager to make the move. He is reportedly set to sign a four-year contract with the club, worth £21.3 million per year.
The 28-year-old Mitrovic is one of the most prolific strikers in Europe, having scored 111 goals in 206 appearances for Fulham.
Mitrovic’s arrival would be a major coup for Al Hilal. The club are already one of the most successful in Asia, having won the AFC Champions League four times. They are also looking to compete for the FIFA Club World Cup, and Mitrovic would give them a major boost in their quest for silverware.
The deal is expected to be completed in the coming hours. Mitrovic will become Al Hilal’s second major signing of the summer, following the arrival of Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.
