Arsenal football club is said to be actively pursuing a number of targets in the midfield ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, the Gunners could potentially sign two of three midfield targets including Declan Rice, Romeo Lavia, and Moises Caicedo.
Jacobs revealed that Arsenal’s priority target is West Ham United’s star midfielder Declan Rice, but they are also keeping tabs on Caicedo and Lavia. The transfer guru went on to say that Arsenal might not be able to secure all three players due to the difficulties in negotiations with Brighton and Hove Albion over Caicedo’s transfer.
Jacobs further explained that if Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister departs early, it could potentially pave the way for Caicedo’s transfer. However, it’s important to note that negotiations with Brighton are not expected to be easy as the Seagulls are keen on holding onto their star player.
With the prospect of a “mass exodus” at Brighton, negotiations for Caicedo’s transfer could become even more complicated. Nevertheless, Jacobs believes that Arsenal is actively planning to do their business early to avoid any complications and uncertainties in the transfer market.
Arsenal fans are eagerly anticipating the club’s moves in the transfer market as the club looks to rebuild under manager Mikel Arteta. The club’s midfield has been an area of concern in recent seasons, and the potential signings of Rice, Lavia, or Caicedo could go a long way in addressing this problem.
The summer transfer window is always an exciting time for football fans, and Arsenal fans will be keeping a close eye on their club’s activity in the coming months. Only time will tell which players will eventually make their way to the Emirates, but one thing is for sure – the Gunners are not resting on their laurels.
