Bendel Insurance have begun their journey to Algeria ahead of Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup return leg clash with Aso Chlef.
The Benin Arsenal won the first leg 1-0 in Benin City thanks to a goal from Imade Osarenkhoe, and they will be looking to secure their passage to the next round with a win, draw, or even a 1-2 defeat in Algiers.
Insurance have only lost two matches in 2023, and they will be confident of getting a result against Aso Chlef, who are currently struggling in the Algerian Ligue 1.
The match will be played at the Stade Mabrouki Salem in Algiers, and it is scheduled to kick off at 8:30pm Nigerian time.
The winner of the tie will face RS Berkane of Morocco in the second qualifying round.
Bendel Insurance are hoping to make it to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time since 2005.
A win in Algiers would be a major step towards achieving that goal.
