Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late equaliser to help Al-Nassr secure a 1-1 draw with Zamalek on Thursday, eliminating the Egyptian side from the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.
The match was evenly poised throughout, with both sides creating chances. Zamalek took the lead in the 55th minute through Zizo, but Ronaldo equalised for Al-Nassr in the 89th minute.
The draw means that Al-Nassr progress to the semi-finals of the competition, while Zamalek are eliminated.
Ronaldo’s goal was his second in the Arab Club Champions Cup this season. The Portuguese superstar has now scored 799 goals in his career, moving him ahead of Josef Bican into third place on the all-time list.
