Cruz Azul and Liga MX has released a joint statement on the controversial drugged birthday party for Cesar Dominguez son 12th birthday.

The news break after the incident on Saturday, which many labeled as drugged theme party for the footballer son, however the club has opted for the option not to punish the player, despite condemning such action in a joint statement released by the club and the league organizer.

The statement claimed they were aware of the incident, as they reveal their stance on the punishment of the player.
- The two institutions condemn the events and reject any manifestation that promotes violence.
- The Cruz Azul football club, in accordance with its internal regulations, took preventive and corrective measures from the outset to resolve this situation and avoid its repetition. In addition, the Club will provide support, training and awareness to the player in relation to this sensitive issue.
- It was agreed that player Julio Cesar Dominguez will give a message to the public today to set out his position and version of events.

“The Liga MX and Club Cruz Azul reiterate their rejection of any behavior that violates professional ethics and the manifestation of any act that incites violence,” the statement concluded.
