United Kingdom-based Fintech entrepreneur Dozy Mmobuosi is set to launch a new football club in Surulere, Lagos on Saturday, November 4.

The club, named Club 1472, will be unveiled to Lagosians in style with a carefully planned event designed to take the team to the people.

Chief Executive Officer of Club 1472, Dr. Segun Sanni, said that the club has ambitious plans to compete for the highest honors in Nigerian football.

“We are excited to launch Club 1472 and to bring a new era of football to Surulere and Lagos,” Sanni said. “We have a talented team of players and staff, and we are committed to building a club that will be successful on the pitch and off.”

Mmobuosi is a successful businessman and philanthropist who is passionate about football. He is the founder and CEO of Tingo Mobile, a leading mobile financial services company in Africa.
