Enyimba FC of Nigeria have been drawn against Al Ahli Benghazi of Libya in the preliminary round of the 2023/24 CAF Champions League.

Enyimba Drawn Against Al Ahli Benghazi in CAF Champions League Preliminary Round 2

The draw was conducted on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

Enyimba will host the first leg of the tie on August 10 or 11, 2023, while the second leg will be played in Benghazi on August 17 or 18, 2023.

The winner of the tie will face the winner of the tie between Asec Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire and Coton Sport of Cameroon in the first round of the competition.

Enyimba are the defending champions of the Nigeria’s premier league, while Al Ahli Benghazi are the runners-up of the 2022 Libyan Cup.

This will be the first time that Enyimba and Al Ahli Benghazi will meet in a competitive match.

Enyimba will be looking to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Champions League for the first time since 2014.

They will be hoping to get past Al Ahli Benghazi and Asec Mimosas/Coton Sport in order to achieve their goal.

The first leg of the tie between Enyimba and Al Ahli Benghazi will be played at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on August 10 or 11, 2023. The second leg will be played in Benghazi on August 17 or 18, 2023.
