Gombe United are set to appoint Mohammed Babaganaru as their new head coach, Soccerhub can exclusively confirm.
Babaganaru, who led Kano Pillars to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title in 2013, was seen at the Pantami Township Stadium in Gombe on Monday, where he was introduced to the club’s technical crew.
The tactician is said to be in advanced talks with the Savannah Scorpions over a move, and an official announcement is expected soon.
Babaganaru left Lobi Stars at the end of last season after his contract expired. He had previously managed Nasarawa United, Wikki Tourists, and El Kanemi Warriors.
Gombe United finished high in the NPFL last season, and they will be hoping that Babaganaru can help them improve on that performance in the upcoming campaign.
