Medeama SC have announced the transfer of nine (9) of their players to Maltese Premier League side Sirens FC. The players are:
- Kwasi Donsu
- Prosper Owusu Boakye
- Charles Agyemang
- Frank Boateng
- Joshua Agyemang
- Bismark Asare
- Daniel Opoku
- Moro Muktar
- Akadom Mohammed Hafiz
The transfers are a major coup for Sirens FC, who are looking to improve their squad and challenge for European qualification. The players are all highly rated in Ghana and have been key members of Medeama’s recent success.
Medeama SC are the reigning Ghana Premier League champions and are currently playing in the CAF Champions League. They beat Remo Stars 1-0 in the first leg of their preliminary round tie on Sunday.
The transfers are a blow to Medeama SC, but they are understandable given the opportunity for the players to play in Europe. The club has a good track record of developing young players and selling them on to European clubs.
It will be interesting to see how the players perform in Malta. Sirens FC are a small club, but they have a good reputation for developing young players. The players will have a chance to prove themselves at a higher level and hopefully earn a move to a bigger club in the future.
The transfers are a sign of the growing interest in Ghanaian football from European clubs. Ghana has a rich history of producing talented players and the current crop of players are no exception. It will be exciting to see how these players fare in Europe and whether they can help to raise the profile of Ghanaian football even further.
