Jose Peseiro’s Super Eagles Get Ready for AFCON Qualifiers with Arrival of First Set of Players

The first set of Super Eagles players have arrived the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, ahead of the team’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sao Tome Principle .

The players, who arrived on Wednesday morning, were received by the State FA Normalization Committee and have been taken to their hotel.

The early birds are:
Jordan Torunarigha
Gift Orban
Francis Uzoho
Tyrone Ebuehi
Adebayo Adeleye
Bruno Onyemachi
Victor Boniface
Raphael Onyedika
Babafemi Raji (Media Officer)

The rest of the players are expected to arrive in Uyo later today or tomorrow.

The Super Eagles will play Sao Tome and Principe in their Last qualifier on Sunday at the Gods will Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

The team coach Jose Peseiro, who recently renewed his contract. Peseiro has been tasked with Semi final target for the Super Eagles at the AFCON. The Super Eagles are currently ranked 39th in the world by FIFA.

They are one of the most successful team in African football, having won the AFCON three times.

The team will be hoping to build on their recent success and qualify for the next two major tournaments.
