Fasil Kenema have announced the signing of Ethiopia national team striker Getaneh Kebede on a two-year contract from Wolkite City.
The 30-year-old Kebede is a two-time African Golden Boot winner and is considered one of the best strikers in Africa. He has scored over 100 goals in his career, including 29 goals in the Ethiopian Premier League last season.
Kebede is expected to boost Fasil Kenema’s chances of winning the Ethiopian Premier League title this season. The club finished as runners-up last season, two points behind champions Saint George.
Kebede is the latest high-profile signing by Fasil Kenema in recent years. The club has also signed the likes of Alula Girma, Behailu Assefa, and Yared Baye in recent years.
