Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister spoke to reporters after his team’s hard-fought win against Brighton.
“We didn’t start the way we wanted,” admitted Mac Allister. “It was an amazing game, and I know these Brighton players very well. They’re a tough outfit, but we managed to pull through in the end. We’re very happy with the three points.”
Mac Allister acknowledged conceding an early goal but praised the team’s mentality. “Ideally, we wouldn’t have conceded so early on,” he said. “But the mentality of the boys was amazing. That’s what you need when you’re 1-0 down.”
