Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that they will face Belgian Pro League side KAA Gent on Friday, July 22, to kick off their tour in the Netherlands. The match will be played at the De Herdgang training ground in Eindhoven, and will kick off at 19:00 CET.
Sundowns are currently in the Netherlands as part of their preparations for the 2023/24 season. They have already played two friendlies, beating FC Volendam 3-1 and ADO Den Haag 2-1.
KAA Gent are a well-respected side in Belgium, and finished fourth in the Pro League last season. They have a number of talented players in their squad, including Tarik Tissoudali, Roman Yaremchuk, and Jonathan David.
This will be the first time that Sundowns and KAA Gent have met in a competitive match. The two sides have met once before in a friendly, which Sundowns won 2-1 in 2014.
The match against KAA Gent is a good opportunity for Sundowns to test themselves against a strong European side. It will also be a chance for the players to get some much-needed match practice ahead of the start of the new season.
Sundowns fans will be hoping that their team can get a positive result against KAA Gent. A win would be a good confidence boost ahead of the start of the new season.
