Manchester City defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Premier League match, winning their sixth consecutive head-to-head and cutting the gap to leaders Arsenal to two points.
Despite a lack of goalmouth action in the first half, City’s patience paid off as Kevin De Bruyne’s lofted ball was headed home by Erling Haaland just before halftime.
Wolves had little chance of a comeback after Haaland scored from the penalty spot and completed his hat-trick in the second half. City are now chasing Arsenal for the top spot, while Wolves are near the bottom of the table with a concerning lack of offensive production.
