The League Disciplinary Committee (LDC) found Tornadoes guilty of two offenses:

  • Failing to provide adequate and effective security: This resulted in unauthorized persons gaining access to restricted areas at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, where the match took place.
  • Encroachment onto the pitch: Officials from the Tornadoes camp, along with other unauthorized individuals, encroached onto the playing field during the game.

For these offenses, the LDC imposed the following fines:

  • N1 million for failing to provide adequate security.
  • N1 million for encroachment onto the pitch.
  • An additional N1 million for “general misconduct.”

The total fine amounts to N3 million. The club has 48 hours from the date of the notification to either appeal the decision or accept the sanctions.

This incident comes at a challenging time for Niger Tornadoes, who currently sit 18th in the NPFL standings and are battling relegation.
