Owunmi’s comments come after a number of high-profile refereeing errors in recent weeks, including a number of controversial penalties and red cards.

“We have played week 6 and 60 games but where we have problems of officiating is three games,” Owunmi said. “Any child that goes to school and has 57/60, is that a pass or not?”

Owunmi’s analogy suggests that he believes that the overall level of officiating in the NPFL has been good, even though there have been some high-profile mistakes.

However, Owunmi also admitted that the NPFL is working to improve the level of officiating in the league.

We are working hard to improve the level of officiating in the NPFL,” Owunmi said.

Owunmi’s comments come at a time when the NPFL is trying to attract more fans and investment. The league has been plagued by poor officiating in the past, and Owunmi’s comments suggest that the NPFL is taking this issue seriously.
