Stand-in Captain and goalkeeper of Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin, Amas Obasogie and defender, Sunday Anyanwu have expressed confidence that the Benin Arsenals will triumph over arch rival, Remo Stars, when they host the South Westerners at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Saturday January 28, 2023.
The duo gave the assurance of victory shortly after the team’s evening training session at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Thursday evening.
It is a battle of the group A giants as both teams have maintained a hundred percent win since the kickoff of the new season on Sunday, January 8, 2023.
They both played three games and won to remain top of the table with 9 points each, however, Remo Stars top the table with a goal difference.
Insurance visitors in the week four fixtures are familiar foes, but the hosts have had the upper hand in their last three encounters and those meetings were in the Nigeria National League in the 2020/ 2021 season.
Insurance pipped Remo Stars 1-0 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and drew goalless with the coach Danie Ogunmodede led the side in the return leg in Ikenne.
