Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo were unable to inspire Southampton to victory as the Saints fell to a 3-2 defeat against Liverpool at St. Mary’s Stadium.
Despite a spirited performance from Onuachu and contributions from Aribo, Southampton couldn’t hold onto a 2-1 lead, with Mohamed Salah’s brace securing the win for Liverpool.
The result leaves Southampton in a precarious position in the Premier League table, while Liverpool are eight point clear of their closest rival, Manchester City who lost 5 consecutive games, for the first time in Pep Guardiola’s coaching history.
