PUMA has dropped a limited-edition FUTURE football boot to celebrate Neymar becoming Brazil’s all-time leading goalscorer.
The 78 boots, which each correspond to one of Neymar’s goals for the Seleção, have been presented to 78 of the most influential people in his career, including family, friends, coaches, current and former teammates, and Brazil legends.
The boots are white with gold detailing and feature 10 unique icons created from images drawn by Neymar himself. The career highlights begin with a young image of Neymar on the right boot and finishes with a present-day image on the left boot.
Surrounding the images is the line ‘History doesn’t repeat itself’ and on the front of the boot is Neymar’s first signature that he wrote in his notebook as a child when dreaming of becoming a professional football player.
The special coins celebrate the following moments:
- Neymar’s first goal for Brazil
- Winning the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup
- Scoring against Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup final
- Winning the 2016 Olympic gold medal
- Scoring his 100th goal for Brazil
Neymar said: “I’m so proud to have these special boots to commemorate my record-breaking goal for Brazil. It’s a dream come true to be able to share them with the people who have helped me along the way.”
