Spanish newspaper Marca has revealed that the German international is once again on the radar of the Spanish giants.

According to Marca, Real Madrid’s interest in Havertz has resurfaced after he was previously targeted three years ago. The allure of playing for Los Blancos has apparently reignited the 22-year-old’s desire, making him a strong contender for a potential transfer.

The Spanish publication also shed light on a recent meeting held between Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, CEO Jose Angel Sanchez, and newly appointed manager Carlo Ancelotti at the club’s training ground in Valdebebas. During this discussion, the trio delved into several options to strengthen the team’s striker position.

While high-profile targets like Harry Kane, who seems reluctant to leave the Premier League, were deemed complex pursuits, other possibilities were explored. The likes of Roberto Firmino and Mauro Icardi were reportedly discarded as potential options.

Instead, Real Madrid seems to be considering alternatives such as Kolo Muani, who has expressed interest in the role, and other players who could potentially fill the void left by the departure of Zinedine Zidane’s desired target, Karim Adeyemi.

However, the standout candidate appears to be Kai Havertz. The talented attacker, who joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen last year, has showcased his immense potential on several occasions. Havertz’s versatility and technical ability make him an attractive prospect for Real Madrid as they aim to revitalize their attacking lineup.

The Spanish club’s renewed pursuit of Havertz signals their determination to secure a prominent goalscorer. Real Madrid endured a challenging season, surrendering their La Liga crown to rivals Atletico Madrid and failing to make a significant impact in the UEFA Champions League.

As the transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid can successfully negotiate a deal with Chelsea for Havertz’s services. The London club, having secured the UEFA Champions League title this season, may be reluctant to part ways with the talented youngster.
