Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup appears to be a sure thing, as they were the only nation to submit an official application before the deadline last year. With Morocco, Portugal, and Spain co-hosting the 2030 tournament, FIFA restricted the 2034 bid to countries within the Asian and Oceania confederations.
This leaves Saudi Arabia as the sole candidate, paving the way for them to become the second Middle Eastern nation to host the prestigious tournament, following Qatar in 2022. The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) launched their official campaign on Friday, unveiling their bid slogan “Growing. Together.”
