Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing loss to Remo Stars last Wednesday when they host Niger Tornadoes of Minna on Sunday in a matchday seven fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Oluyole Warriors, who are currently in fourth position on the NPFL table with 11 points, will be eager to return to winning ways at home, where they have won all three of their matches so far this season.
Niger Tornadoes, on the other hand, are struggling on the road this season, having lost all three of their away matches so far. The Ikon Allah Boys are currently in 15th position on the NPFL table with 6 points.
Shooting Stars will be led by their captain, Malomo Taofeek, who has been in impressive form this season. Taofeek has scored three goals in six league appearances for the Oluyole Warriors so far.
Niger Tornadoes will be hoping to rely on the experience of their veteran striker, Ismaila Gata, who has scored two goals in six league appearances for the Minna based side so far.
The match is expected to be a keenly contested affair, with both teams eager to pick up all three points. However, based on current form, Shooting Stars are the favorites to win the match.
