The Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 is the top division of football in Tunisia. It is contested by 16 teams, who play each other twice, once at home and once away. The season runs from August to May. The top two teams at the end of the season qualify for the CAF Champions League, while the third and fourth placed teams qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup. The bottom two teams are relegated to the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 2.
