1. The Wall Pass:

Set up a wall or a cone and have a player pass the ball off of it, then control the ball with their first touch and pass it back to the wall. Repeat this drill, gradually increasing the speed and power of the passes.

2. The Triangle Passing Drill:

Set up three cones in a triangle shape, about 5-10 yards apart. Have two players pass the ball back and forth, using the cones to guide their passes. The third player should move around the triangle, receiving passes from both players and trying to keep the ball in play.

3. The Mirror Drill:

Set up two players facing each other about 5-10 yards apart. One player starts with the ball and the other player mirrors their movements, trying to stay as close as possible without making contact. The player with the ball should try to move in different directions and change speeds to challenge the other player’s awareness and touch.

4. The 1v1 Attack and Defend Drill:

Set up two players facing each other, with one player starting with the ball. The player without the ball should try to defend and win the ball back, while the player with the ball should try to maintain possession and find a way past the defender. This drill can help improve both players’ touch and awareness, as they must constantly read and react to each other’s movements.

5. The Possession Game:

Set up a small playing area and divide the players into two teams. The objective is for each team to maintain possession of the ball for as long as possible, while the other team tries to win it back. This drill can help improve players’ touch and awareness, as they must make quick decisions and keep track of where their teammates are on the field.
