The last time Brazil won the World Cup was in 2002, when they beat Germany 2-0 in the final.

The 2002 World Cup was held in South Korea and Japan, and Brazil was led by their star player, Ronaldo, who finished as the tournament’s top scorer with eight goals. The Brazilian team also featured other talented players such as Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, and Roberto Carlos.

In the final, Brazil faced Germany, a team that had been impressive in the tournament and was looking to win its fifth World Cup. The match was closely contested, with both teams creating chances, but it was Brazil that came out on top thanks to two goals from Ronaldo.

The 2002 World Cup win was Brazil’s fifth overall and their first since 1970. It was also the first time that the World Cup had been held in Asia, and Brazil became the first team to win the tournament outside of Europe or South America.

Since their 2002 win, Brazil has reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup on three occasions (2006, 2010, and 2014) but has not been able to advance to the final. They will be looking to end this drought and add a sixth World Cup title to their trophy cabinet when the tournament is held in USA in 2026.
