Wydad Casablanca etched their name in Moroccan football history today, achieving two remarkable milestones in the CAF Inter-Club competition.

Record-Breaking Victory

The Casablanca giants secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against their opponents, solidifying their position as Morocco’s most successful club in the CAF Inter-Club competition with a staggering 104 victories. This achievement marks a significant moment for Wydad and Moroccan football as a whole.

Pioneering Performance in Botswana

Wydad’s triumph wasn’t their only accomplishment. They also made history by becoming the first Moroccan club to win a game in Botswana. This feat highlights the team’s adaptability and ability to perform at their best even in unfamiliar territory.

Travel Plans and Looking Ahead

Following their win, Wydad has departed Francistown and is currently in Gaborone, where they will remain until Monday. The team will await the return of their compatriots, RS Berkane, from South Africa before they both return to Morocco.
