Manchester City have signed England midfielder Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for a fixed fee of £116 million — a new British record for a British player and City’s largest ever transfer. Confirmed by David Ornstein of The Athletic and Sky Sports, Anderson underwent his medical in New York while on World Cup duty with England. He has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, filling the midfield void left by Bernardo Silva’s departure to Real Madrid.
