In a landmark move for football fan engagement in Africa, Chelsea Football Club has officially announced its first-ever visit to Lagos, Nigeria.
The historic trip, scheduled for May 2026, will serve as the penultimate event of the club’s global fan programme, The Famous CFC, for the 2025/26 season.
The visit marks a significant milestone in the relationship between the Premier League giants and one of its largest and most passionate global fanbases.
The Return of a Legend: Victor Moses
Headlining the event is former Chelsea winger and Super Eagles icon Victor Moses. A key figure in Chelsea’s 2016/17 Premier League title-winning side and a 2013 AFCON champion with Nigeria, Moses will return to his home country to bridge the gap between the club and its local supporters.
“Lagos is a city that lives and breathes football,” a club spokesperson stated. “Bringing The Famous CFC here, alongside a legend like Victor Moses, allows us to celebrate our shared history with Nigerian fans in an unforgettable way.”
